The Chennai High Court has explained that private colleges have not failed to fill the vacancies in Ayurvedic medical courses which are not filled up under consultation.
The injunction not to admit students without consultation applies only to undergraduate medical studies. High Court Judge Swaminathan has said that it does not apply to Indian medical courses like Ayurveda.

கலந்தாய்வின்றி மாணவர் சேர்க்கை கூடாது என்ற உத்தரவு இளநிலை மருத்துவ படிப்புக்கே பொருந்தும். ஆயுர்வேதம் போன்ற இந்திய மருத்துவ படிப்புகளுக்கு பொருந்தாது என்று உயர்நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதி சுவாமிநாதன் தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்.
