Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that B.Ed degree courses will be started through IITs across the country. Speaking at an event at IIT Bhubaneswar, Orissa, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, ‘The quality of B.Ed colleges offering teacher training courses across the country is low. The new program is aimed at enhancing the skills of teachers and improving students. Accordingly, we plan to start B.Ed courses in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) soon.

Introduces integrated teacher education program or undergraduate education (B.Ed) courses. This degree will be four years. The one-year Integrated Teacher Education Model Program will be launched this year. The program will work to provide systematic training to teachers under the new National Education Policy. A total of Rs 3 lakh crore will be spent on education over the next four years. நாடு முழுவதும் ஐஐடிகள் மூலம் பி.எட் பட்டப் படிப்புகள் தொடங்கப்படும் என ஒன்றிய கல்வி அமைச்சர் தர்மேந்திர பிரதான் தெரிவித்தார். ஒடிசா மாநிலம் புவனேஸ்வர் ஐஐடியில் நடந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் ஒன்றிய கல்வி அமைச்சர் தர்மேந்திர பிரதான் பேசுகையில், ‘நாடு முழுவதும் ஆசிரியர் பயிற்சி படிப்புகளை வழங்கும் பிஎட் கல்லூரிகளின் தரம் குறைவாகவே உள்ளது. ஆசிரியர்களின் திறனை அதிகரிக்கவும், மாணவர்களை மேம்படுத்தவும் புதிய திட்டம் கொண்டு வரப்படுகிறது. அதன்படி இந்திய தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனங்களில் (ஐஐடி) விரைவில் பி.எட் படிப்புகளை தொடங்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம்.

ஒருங்கிணைந்த ஆசிரியர் கல்வித் திட்டம் அல்லது இளங்கலை கல்வி (பி.எட்) படிப்புகள் கொண்டு வரப்படும். இந்த பட்டப்படிப்பு நான்கு ஆண்டுகள் இருக்கும். இந்த ஆண்டு ஓராண்டு ஒருங்கிணைந்த ஆசிரியர் கல்வி மாதிரி திட்டம் தொடங்கப்படும். புதிய தேசிய கல்விக் கொள்கையின் கீழ் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு முறையான பயிற்சி அளிக்கும் வகையில் இத்திட்டம் செயல்படும். அடுத்த நான்கு ஆண்டுகளில் கல்வித் திட்டத்திற்காக மொத்தம் ரூ.3 லட்சம் கோடி செலவிடப்படும்’ என்றார்.
