The school education department has ordered the district primary education officers to immediately remove the lands and places belonging to government schools operating in Tamil Nadu if they are occupied and provide security to the school. There are a total of 37 thousand 554 government primary, intermediate, high and secondary schools in Tamil Nadu. Of these 52 lakh 75 thousand 203 students are studying. 2 lakh 25 thousand 400 teachers are employed.

In this situation, the places, lands and playgrounds for these schools have been occupied by some people from the respective areas. It has also been revealed that in some places anti-socials have occupied school premises. The inability of school principals to eliminate or prevent these occupations persists. So there have been complaints to the school education department from many quarters that the government should intervene directly and take action to remove these occupations.

The school education department, well aware of the veracity of these complaints, has now sent an urgent letter to all district primary education officers. In it, there have been complaints of encroachment on public school-owned space, disrupting students' learning and teaching activities, and sabotaging school activities by not allowing head teachers to work. District Primary Education Officers should therefore take action to identify areas that have occupied public school space and dispose of it, ensuring the safety of schools. தமிழ்நாட்டில் இயங்கும் அரசுப் பள்ளிகளுக்கு சொந்தமான நிலங்கள், இடங்கள் ஆக்கிரமிப்பில் இருந்தால் அவற்றை உடனடியாக அகற்றி பள்ளிக்கு பாதுகாப்பு ஏற்படுத்தித் தர வேண்டும் என்று மாவட்ட முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலர்களுக்கு பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. தமிழகத்தில் அரசு தொடக்க, நடுநிலை, உயர்நிலை மற்றும் மேனிலைப் பள்ளிகள் என மொத்தம் 37 ஆயிரத்து 554 இயங்கி வருகின்றன. இவற்றில் 52 லட்சத்து 75 ஆயிரத்து 203 மாணவ, மாணவியர் படித்து வருகின்றனர். 2 லட்சத்து 25 ஆயிரத்து 400 ஆசிரியர்கள் பணியாற்றி வருகின்றனர். இந்நிலையில், இந்த பள்ளிகளுக்கான இடங்கள், நிலங்கள் மற்றும் விளையாட்டு மைதானங்கள் ஆகியவற்றை அந்தந்த பகுதிகளை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் சிலர் ஆக்கிரமிப்பு செய்துள்ளனர். சில இடங்களில் சமூக விரோதிகள் பள்ளிக்கான இடங்களை ஆக்கிரமிப்பு செய்துள்ளதும் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. இந்த ஆக்கிரமிப்புகளை அகற்றவோ, தடுக்கவோ பள்ளித் தலைமை ஆசிரியர்களால் இயலாத நிலை நீடிக்கிறது. அதனால் அரசே நேரடியாக தலையிட்டு இந்த ஆக்கிரமிப்புகளை அகற்ற நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று பல தரப்பில் இருந்தும் பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறைக்கு புகார்கள் வந்துள்ளன. இந்த புகார்களில் உள்ள உண்மைத்தன்மையை நன்கு உணர்ந்த பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை, அனைத்து மாவட்ட முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலர்களுக்கும் தற்போது ஒரு அவசர கடிதத்தை அனுப்பியுள்ளது. அதில், அரசுப் பள்ளிகளுக்கு சொந்தமான இடங்களில் அத்துமீறி ஆக்கிரமிப்பு செய்துகொண்டு மாணவர்களின் கற்றல், கற்பித்தல் பணிகளுக்கு இடையூறு செய்வதுடன், தலைமை ஆசிரியர்களை பணி செய்ய விடாமல் பள்ளிகளின் செயல்பாடுகளுக்கு குந்தகம் விளைவித்து வருவதாகவும் புகார்கள் வந்துள்ளன. எனவே அரசுப் பள்ளி இடங்களை ஆக்கிரமிப்பு செய்துள்ள இடங்களை கண்டறிந்து, அதை அப்புறப்படுத்தி, பள்ளிகளின் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிப்படுத்த மாவட்ட முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலர்கள் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும். இவ்வாறு அந்த கடிதத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
