On the orders of the Commissioner of Police, all traffic police station inspectors and sub-inspectors across Chennai were engaged in intensive surveillance in front of all bus stands, bus stands, schools and colleges yesterday morning and evening. School and college students were caught traveling dangerously up the stairs on buses following a police warning. Police urged students to call their parents and come to the police station. Accordingly the parents of some students came to the police station. In their presence the police wrote and sent a letter sternly warning of the dangers of stair travel. போலீசாரின் எச்சரிக்கையை மீறி தொடர்ந்து பேருந்துகளில் ஆபத்தான முறையில் படிக்கட்டில் பயணம் செய்து வந்த பள்ளி மற்றும் கல்லூரி மாணவர்களை பிடித்தனர்.

அவர்களிடம் பெற்றோருக்கு போன் செய்து காவல் நிலையத்திற்கு வருமாறு மாணவர்களிடம் போலீசார் வலியுறுத்தினர். அதன்படி சில மாணவர்களின் பெற்றோர் காவல் நிலையம் வந்தனர்.

அவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் போலீசார் படிக்கட்டு பயணத்தால் ஏற்படும் பாதிப்புகள் குறித்து கடுமையாக எச்சரித்து கடிதம் எழுதி வாங்கிக்கொண்டு அனுப்பி வைத்தனர்.

பலமுறை போலீசார் எச்சரித்தும் தொடர்ந்து பேருந்து படிக்கட்டு பயணம் மேற்கொண்ட மாணவர்களை போலீசார் காவல் நிலையத்தில் அமர வைத்து கடுமையாக எச்சரித்து கடிதம் எழுதி வாங்கிக்கொண்டு அனுப்பினர்.
