Tamil Nadu Government Deaf High School is functioning in the Satavaram area next to Kanchipuram. Here, from class 1 to 10, there are more than 40 deaf and hard of hearing students. At the Thalasayana Perumal Temple near the Mamallapuram bus stand, more than 50 poor and simple people are given lunch daily through the government's charity scheme.
