G.O.(Ms.) No.116: Dated: 20.09.2021 - PMAY(G) Constitution of Task Force to provide land to the landless beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Gramin)-Orders - Issued.


ORDER:


In the Government of India letter first read above, the Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Department of Rural Development, Government of India has stated that one of the reasons for the slow progress of the PMAY(G) scheme has been found to be the delay in provision of land to the landless beneficiaries. Though the PMAY(G) accords highest priority to the landless beneficiaries, still a lot of landless beneficiaries are yet to be provided with land. Therefore he has requested to constitute a Task Force comprising of Secretary (Revenue) and the Secretary dealing with PMAY-G with an objective to provide land to all the landless beneficiaries under PMAY-G within next two months. Accordingly, the Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj was requested to send proposals in this regard to Government.


2) The Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj in letter second read above has stated that PMAY(G) is a flagship Programme of Government of India with a goal of "Housing for All by 2022". It is a time bound Programme. As per the provisions of the Scheme, it is the responsibility of the States to provide land to the landless beneficiaries under PMAY(G).


3) The Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj has therefore requested the Government to issue necessary orders to constitute a Task Force toprovide land to all landless beneficiaries under PMAY(G), as per the directions of Government of India with following officials:
